Alfa Romeo Giulietta and Peperoncino on the Ironman 2012 Italy podium

It was a triumph from all points of view for the Alfa Romeo Giulietta’s first time as sponsor of the Peperoncino Team.

The Alfa Romeo team
is making a name for itself in the multidiscipline sports category. Its members are international athletes, and the team has gained a large number of victories in Italy and abroad over its eleven-year history.

In the Italian stage of Ironman 2012 held in Pescara
, our team truly surpassed itself and won an unexpected third place with Paul Amey, a talented Brit in the international duathlon. This Peperoncino Team member left the swimming leg in one of the top positions, played for time in the cycling race and then launched a final attack in the running leg.
He completed the competition placing third with an excellent time in 4H18'28".

But the good news for the Peperoncino Team and Alfa Romeo Giulietta is just at the beginning. The placings of Italians Gabriele Mazzetta and Gabriele Rolla, in addition to Tourny Degham, who also stood out in the shorter races, were fantastic.

After Pescara, Ironman 2012 will transfer to Nice, France. This appointment will be in the international spotlight, closely followed by the media, also due to the presence of U.S. cycling legend Lance Armstrong

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta will definitely be out on the front line
as both official car of the event and as a team member racing with the Peperoncino Team. Its presence exemplifies a stronger and stronger bond with this sports discipline and its values: performance, endurance and sportsmanship.
