Alfa Romeo MiTo, The Italian New Wave at Club to Club

The 11th edition of Club To Club Alfa Romeo MiTo, the international electronic music and arts festival, begins in October. “The Italian New Wave” is the theme of this year's edition, which will take place in Rome on 2 November 2011 and in Turin from 3-6 November 2011, with a preview - Viva Club To Club – held at Fondazione Pomodoro in Milan on October 20, in Rome on October 22 and in Turin on October 21 and 22.

As the main partner of the event, Alfa Romeo continues its association with the world of music by taking part in one of the world's most famous international electronica festivals. As part of the official celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy, the festival will pay homage to the new creative wave of Italian music as well as some of the most acclaimed and visionary contemporary electronic musicians. It is an outstanding line-up combining the legends of electronica with the most exciting new Italian and international acts.

The event will take a close and selective look at the most important and innovative creative talents in the world, its bill bursting with premières and exclusives.
The festival will give fans a chance to hear a live première of the new album by Modeselektor (featuring Thom Yorke from Radiohead), in the audiovisual show Monkeytown World Tour.
The national exclusives include Caribou (DJ set), who will present his new material under the pseudonym Daphni, and the new live set by Pantha du Prince, while Kode9 will host the showcase "Hyperdub Night", with a special line-up chosen by him and including Martyn, Cooly G and the intriguing Hype Williams.
There will be plenty of established artists who are dancefloor favourites: Detroit's Jeff Mills, who is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Axis Records, Theo Parrish, and Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock, resident DJs at Berlin's Berghain club.

There is a real home flavour to the 2011 festival, with at least one Italian artist performing at each event. These include the stars of the new wave of Italian techno: Giorgio Gigli, Lucy,  the "O" project (an exclusive for Club To Club by Vaghe Stelle, Stargate and A:RA), and a special performance from Teho Teardo.
Alfa Romeo is giving away 500 tickets to the festival online.
Alfa Romeo Mito is sponsoring Club To Club for the fourth consecutive year, sharing in its energy, originality and vision for music.
