Alfa Romeo Giulietta is named official car of 2012 Superbike championship

Alfa Romeo Giulietta will be the new Official Safety Car accompanying the 14 competitions of the 24th edition of the Superbike Championship.

The Superbike 2012 season will officially open with the first race on 26 February in Australia, on the Phillip Island track. The Giulietta will lead the motorbikes on the track on warm-up laps and as the safety car.

This is the sixth year in a row that Alfa Romeo participates in the Superbike world championship. This appointment consolidates the bond between the car brand and the motorcycling event that millions of fans around the world follow every year.

Alfa Romeo's participation in Superbike, the most prestigious and hard-fought championship, confirms the close tie between the world of racing bikes and the brand that more than all the rest is able to convey the spirit experienced inside the tracks.
