Performance

“Grace and race”, legend and lightness. The Alfa 8C Spider was born under an air sign. It runs with and through the wind, fine details, naturally sensual, sporty and high-tech.

Indissolubly linked to historical brand models, such as the legendary Giulietta of the 1950s, the 8C Spider adopts a transaxle architecture, a valuable legacy that guarantees maximum poise and maximum control. The configuration allows optimum load distribution between the front and rear ends. Most of the car is contained within the wheel axles and this attitude minimises polar movement to benefit stability even at high speed.

The electrically-operated manual 6-speed sequential Q-Select gearbox selects gears by means of levers behind the steering wheel. The model allows a choice of Normal or Sport modes through a button located on the tunnel. This specifically acts to radically reduce shifting times, modulate the pedal/accelerator feel and enhance the engine sound.

The lack of understeer on the approach to corners and also of excessive oversteer when driving allows the driver to express personality and ability when metering the steering, brake and throttle effect.
