"New car of the year 2011" for Quattroruote readers

Alfa Romeo Giulietta is Queen: this is the verdict expressed by the grand jury of Quattroruote readers, which this year too took part in the referendum to name the new car of the year.
The competition was held by the magazine through a selection of ten cars which were then judged by the readers, who were able to vote on the web or with text messages and postcards.

Chosen from among the ten cars nominated, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta obtained a terrific win by being awarded 43.46% of votes, ahead of rivals Audi A1 (12.46%) and Citroën DS3 (8.9%). More than 103,000 votes came in.
Once again the queen of compacts obtained widespread success among the public.

The award ceremony was held at Palazzo Mezzanotte, headquarters of the Milan Stock Exchange. On stage to collect the prestigious “New car of the year 2011” award presented by Quattroruote Editor in Chief Carlo Cavicchi was the new CEO Harald Wester.
