NATURAL

For those who want relaxed, safe driving, in Natural mode each individual component affected by the Alfa DNA system is in its normal configuration: lively engine, highly discreet Vehicle Dynamic Control and a DST which sees that oversteering is avoided. The Normal mode suggests gear shifts with a Gear Shift Indicator; this allows fuel consumption and emissions to be optimised for a perfect drive around town.

DYNAMIC

Drivers who prefer a more sporty drive simply have to move the lever to Dynamic: the system thus acts on the steering and on the engine.
Steering power assistance is reduced: a slight pulse on the steering wheel encourages the driver to make the most appropriate corrections.
The Dynamic system also offers drivers better control of lateral acceleration and improved engine response due to a specific torque curve.

On slippery surfaces, drivers can also select All Weather mode, which accentuates the effect of traction control and increases sensitivity on multi-split (useful when the car is driving over surfaces with differential grip, for example 2 wheels on ice and 2 on asphalt).
This system allows maximum roadholding under conditions of low grip.

PRE-FILL

Pre-fill is a new function that offers drivers incredibly prompt braking pressurising the brake system in advance in the event of an emergency.
The Pre-fill system is active in Alfa DNA Dynamic mode. In detail, the control unit recognises the driver's desire to brake from the speed at which accelerator pedal is released.
At this point the VDC increases the pressure inside the braking system by several bars to take up any play and create the sensation of quicker braking response.
This system speeds up the operation of the braking system.
