LED technology
The only standard product in the saloon sector, the LED technology chosen for the new Alfa Giulietta and for the Alfa MiTo offers various advantages over conventional bulbs:

  • increased brightness
  • longer life
  • much more rapid activation times (for example when braking)
  • increased safety
  • positive impact on emissions (reduced fuel consumption).

On the Giulietta, the headlights also incorporate the Daytime Running Light function: when the engine is turned on, special LEDs come on that are designed to guarantee maximum daytime visibility of the car with reduced energy consumption and ultra-long duration.

Bi-Xenon headlights
Again on the MiTo and Giulietta, as an alternative to the halogen bulbs offered as standard, the front headlights are available with bi-Xenon technology. On the Giulietta, the project is integral with the AFS (Adaptive Front-Lighting System).
Bi-xenon headlights determine a qualitative improvement in emitted light - with both low and high beams -, excellent efficiency under all atmospheric conditions and three times the duration of headlights with a halogen bulb.

The AFS system also allows the headlights to be oriented in the direction the car is steering, in order to guarantee maximum visibility and safety even on bends and twisty roads.
