Brand new for the Alfa 159, Blue&Me™ is a hands-free system with voice recognition based on Windows Mobile® technology, which can be used with Bluetooth® mobile phones using voice commands or steering wheel controls (your phonebook appears on the instrument panel display), and it can also be used to listen to music stored on a pen-drive or media player, by simply connecting the device to the system’s USB port.

Blue&Me™
The hands-free system
The Blue&Me™ hands-free system uses exclusive universal voice-recognition technology: regardless of who is speaking, the system does not need time to learn the voice.
After pairing your Bluetooth mobile phone with the system, which you only need to do once, and by downloading your phone’s phonebook, you can make and receive phone calls simply by speaking: all the commands can be given without taking your hands off the wheel or your eyes off the road.

Then there is Blue&Me™ NAV, the new voice recognition satellite navigation system. The two systems are available as options, and integrate perfectly with the car.
Message Reader
The Blue&Me™ message reader enables automatic reading, through the car sound system, of the SMS texts you receive on your Bluetooth® wireless technology mobile phone. The message reader will also interpret any abbreviation and emoticon contained in the SMS text.
Message reader functions are managed by the control buttons on the steering wheel or by the Blue&Me™ voice commands.

The Blue&Me™ text message reader, thanks to voice synthesis technology, offers automatic reading of incoming messages on your mobile phone equipped with Bluetooth® technology through your car audio system, also interpreting any abbreviations and emoticons found in text messages.
The text message reader functions are controlled via Blue&Me™ steering wheel or voice commands.

The Blue&Me™ Text Message Reader enables you to:
- Be informed via a message notice on your car's multifunctional display when you receive a new text message on your mobile phone equipped with Bluetooth® technology, showing the number/name of the sender. If you want, Blue&Me™ can also read the message for you
- Manage the list of text messages received on your mobile phone connected to Blue&Me™
- Reread the previously received and memorized text messages
- Make a call to the sender of the text message using steering wheel or voice commands.

Erase single text messages or the entire list of text messages using steering wheel or voice commands.
The Blue&Me™ system is also able to recognize and read any abbreviations (e.g. “ILY” will be read “I love you”) and interpret the most common emoticons used in text messages nowadays (e.g. :-) will be read “Smile”).
