Cassino, the plant where Giulia and Stelvio are created

Enter the state-of-the-art, Alfa Romeo plant where “La Meccanica delle Emozioni” comes to life.

What happens in the Cassino FCA Plant, is amongst the most important and delicate steps in the Alfa Romeo creative process. This where the new generation models are assembled: the place where beauty, innovation and excellence finally meet. The plant, founded in 1972 near Frosinone (Italy), has recently expanded to two million square metres, and has been completely renovated for the production launch of Giulia in 2015.

A production capacity of approximately 1,000 cars a day

This plant is a shining example of FCA's global automotive manufacturing expertise, where people, technologies and the environment combine in harmony to build two premium cars of immense prestige: Giulia and Stelvio. It has also adopted and aligned all the technologies and best practices of the other FCA plants worldwide, updating them with a 4.0 approach: FCA has worked with various partners on the digitalization of the production plants, to further upgrade assembly line efficiency and help improve the quality of work alomg with the working conditions.

4300 men and women, an extraordinary workforce in terms of excellence

In order to fully optimize the production process in this area, FCA partnered with Samsung. The electronics giant provides devices that, using the very latest technologies, transforme each terminal into a business-friendly smartphone or tablet. The adoption of wearable devices such as the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier improves flow and delivers labor- saving. Of all the components of a genuine Alfa Romeo, emotion is still the most important, and it’s in Cassino where the magic happens.
