What WLTP means
WLTP stands for Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure. It is a standardized test that measures the range of an electric vehicle under ideal conditions (23°C, with thermal comfort switched off and an average speed of 46 km/h in a combined cycle).
While the WLTP figure provides a useful estimate of how far you can drive on a full charge, everyday driving conditions – such as weather, driving habits, and terrain – can affect your actual range. This means the distance you can achieve may vary depending on how and where you use your vehicle.

Maximizing your EV range
- Drive thoughtfully: High speeds can reduce your range, particularly on highways.
- Use air conditioning wisely: You can extend your vehicle’s range by maintaining a moderate cabin temperature.
- Minimize extra weight: Additional passengers, luggage, or roof racks can lower your range.
- Turn braking into power: Regenerative braking increases range by converting kinetic energy into electrical energy. Its effectiveness can be optimized by braking smoothly.
- Plan your journey: Use trip planners and range indicators to ensure a seamless, efficient drive.
Feel free to schedule a test drive to experience the range in real-world conditions.

Practical use cases
Daily city commutes: For typical daily use, such as commuting to work, drivers travelling around 40 km a day will usually only need to charge once a week. You can precondition your vehicle to reduce energy consumption in cold weather (below 15°C).
Long-distance trips: For longer journeys, such as a weekend getaway, you may want to plan a quick stop at a fast charging station. A 30-minute charge will give you enough range to continue your trip comfortably. Keep your speed between 110 and 130 km/h and drive thoughtfully: high speeds can reduce your range, particularly on highways.
Caring for your EV battery
To keep your electric Alfa Romeo's battery healthy and extend its lifespan, follow these simple tips:
- Keep the State of Charge between 20-80% for daily use, in line with the Brand's recommendations.
- Have your electric vehicle regularly serviced to ensure optimal performance.
- Use pre-conditioning (if available) while your car is charging to regulate the battery temperature before driving.
