Charging time
The speed at which your electric Alfa Romeo recharges depends on two factors: the vehicle’s maximum charging power and the power output of the charging station. For example:
- Using a domestic socket (up to 2.3 kW) with the appropriate cable, it would take approximately 7 hours and 50 minutes to charge enough for 100 km of range.
- Upgrading to an easyWallbox with professional installation (providing up to 7.4 kW) reduces the charging time for 100 km of range to around 2 hours and 30 minutes.
- Fast public chargers can deliver up to 300 kW, drastically reducing charging times and making long journeys more convenient, with many vehicles able to regain 100 km of range in just a few minutes.

Control your charge
For greater peace of mind, the My Alfa Connect mobile app includes a host of connected services to make charging easier than ever.
With e-Remote Control, you can manage your Alfa Romeo’s charging remotely:
- Check the charge status in real time.
- Monitor and schedule charging sessions for optimal energy use.
- Precondition your car by setting the cabin temperature for comfort before you drive.
What affects charging speed
Several factors can influence how quickly your electric vehicle charges:
- State of Charge (SOC): With DC fast charging (above 50 kW), the charging speed naturally slows as the battery approaches full capacity.
- Charging station usage: If multiple vehicles are charging simultaneously, the available power is shared, which can slow down your charging speed.
- Temperature: Cold weather can reduce charging efficiency – the colder your vehicle’s battery, the longer it may take to charge.
