ALFA ROMEO 4C
AND 4C SPIDER

Essential beauty, pure sportiness

ALFA ROMEO 4C

The driving pleasure of the Alfa Romeo 4C was that of a supercar. The rear-wheel drive, the 1.75-litre turbocharged mid-engine (capable of delivering up to 240hp), and the perfect power-to-weight ratio were designed to ensure maximum agility and supercar performance. This was achieved by using ultra-lightweight materials such as carbon fibre, aluminium, and composites. Its interior was also designed in carbon fibre, and its Competition Seats ensured that the driver kept a sporty yet comfortable posture. The 6-speed gearbox with Alfa TCT was a technical solution that combined the immediacy of a sequential gearbox and the comfort of an automatic gearbox. The sporty suspension, the braking system with self-ventilating discs, the differentiated diameter tires, and all the other elements of the end-of-series Alfa Romeo 4C were designed to optimise its performance and provide an incomparable driving experience.

ALFA ROMEO 4C SPIDER

The shapes, the lines, the road qualities, the racing DNA are the elements that made the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider a perfect expression of “emotional mechanics” – a heartfelt tribute to one of the most legendary models in the history of the Alfa Romeo: the 33 Stradale. The end-of-series model 4C Spider was bold and efficient thanks to the use of ultralight materials such as carbon fibre, aluminium, and composite parts. Its design united excellent agility with the performance of a supercar. The 4C Spider's weight was, in fact, less than 1.000kg, featuring a phenomenal power-to-weight ratio. Its cloth roof guaranteed maximum lightness while ensuring adequate protection. Its suspension featured techniques inherited from the racing world, such as the brake system with self-ventilating discs and tyres with a differentiated diameter. The beating heart of the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider was a 1.75-litre turbo petrol engine with direct injection, which delivered up to 240 HP. Its performance was the result of a highly evolved transmission system: the 6-speed “Alfa TCT” gearbox that combined the immediacy of a sequential transmission with the comfort of an automatic transmission.
