Alfa Romeo Tonale joins the Carabinieri fleet

The new Alfa Romeo Tonale Hybrid has officially joined the Carabinieri fleet, strengthening a long-standing partnership and taking it to the next level. The reveal of this new Tonale demonstrates the deep commitment of the Brand to the work of the Italian Armed Forces - that must act promptly on every occasion - as well as its focus on hybrid technology and the future of mobility.

The collaboration between Alfa Romeo and the Carabinieri is historic. It dates back to 1951, when the iconic 1900 M “Matta” became the first Alfa Romeo “Gazzella” ever built. Since then, the Brand has been producing a lot of Carabinieri patrol cars - from the legendary Alfetta to the powerful Giulia Quadrifoglio.

The new Tonale Hybrid was unveiled in Rome on the 28th of June, during a meeting attended by Commander-General Gen. C.A. Teo Luzi, Alfa Romeo CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato, and Stellantis Country Manager, Italy Santo Ficili. With its distinctive DNA and unique performance, it will be the first of around 400 vehicles at the service of the Italian Armed Forces.
